Applesauce

Applesauce



Some people in my household can’t eat a pork chop without a side of delicious applesauce.
We can hardly make enough to keep us through the winter!
6 Red Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
½ cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg



1. Place all ingredients in pressure cooker. Lock cooker lid and bring to high pressure.
Adjust heat to maintain pressure and process on HIGH for 3 minutes. Quick release
pressure. Remove lid carefully to prevent scalding from escaping steam.
2. Puree sauce to desired consistency.
This recipe can be doubled. If you wish to can applesauce, process using a standard
water bath per manufacturer’s instructions
